Notes
a. Note:   . Carl's parents both born in Pennsylvania [1930 census]. Bill Shaver says b. 1895.
From The Valley News: "Mr. and Mrs. Karl Becker of Granger Road, Wayland celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary Sunday, February 18th at an open house held at the E.U.B. church parlor. Over one hundred fifty guests attended the celebration.
"Mr. nd [sic.] Mrs. Becker were married on February 21, 1918 at the E.U.B. church by Rev. J. W. Waltz. The maid of honor was Florence Clayson Irwin of Buffalo and the best man was Clarance Shaver, now deceased. Mr. Becker has two brothers, both of Pennsylvania, Arthur and Earl.
"Mr. Becker is the son of David and Mary Becker and was born in Livonia, N. Y., April 13, 1894. Mrs. Becker was Arloine Shaver, daughter of Jonas and Cora Shaver of East Springwater born October 16, 1891. They have three children, Burton Becker and Wayne Becker of Wayland and Mrs. Ruth Kloss of Buffalo. The couple have eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild."
Note:   A dairy farmer. In 1942 I remember he had a dislocated shoulder all the while I knew him, but had that surgically corrected. The Wayland Village Cem. transcript shows dates "1891-1969" This may be a typo because these are the dates of his wife
