a. Note:   Doris was born on March 23, 1921 and passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2015. Doris was a resident of Lawton, Oklahoma at the time of her passing.
  She was married to Charles.
  Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2015, in Liberty Heights Chapel with Kerry Malakosky, Pastor, Rev. Jim Roberts and Rev. Wayne Schoonover officiating.
  Memorial contributions may be made to Liberty Heights Chapel, 706 NW 17th Street, Lawton OK 73507.
  Funeral for Doris Louise Rightmer, 94, Lawton, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Liberty Heights Chapel with Kerry Malakosky, pastor, the Rev. Jim Roberts and the Rev. Wayne Schoonover officiating.
  Mrs. Rightmer died Sunday, April 5, 2015, in Lawton.
  Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.
  Mrs. Rightmer was born March 23, 1921, in Fort Worth, Texas, to the Rev. Ike T. and Effie Mae Liddell Sidebottom. She grew up with two younger sisters and all were active in Christian service at their church. Doris graduated from Polytechnic High School in 1938 and attended John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Ark.
  She married the Rev. Charles Weldon Rightmer on July 14, 1940, in Fort Worth with her father officiating at the wedding ceremony. Weldon preceded her in death on Oct. 30, 1998. Doris and Weldon sang Gospel songs together for some two years prior to their marriage and continued to sing specials together for many more years. Doris taught Bible classes for children and Sunday School for many years. She and Weldon taught kindergarten and preschool classes at the Liberty Heights Chapel.
 Doris was sales manager for Compton Encyclopedia in Lawton from 1954 until 1960, but after the birth of her sons their growth and training became her first interest. She served as a volunteer at Comanche County Memorial Hospital for 14 years.
  She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law: Dr. Charles and Sheila Rightmer, Corvallis, Ore.; Thomas L. and Sharon Rightmer, Lawton; and Joe S. and Teresa Rightmer, Aurora, Colo.; nine grandchildren: Ryan Smith, Leigh McEntire, Brett Willis, Amy Pickering, Nathan Rightmer, James Rightmer, Mary Mihalko, Daniel Rightmer and Joanna Broussard; 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
  She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Jane S. and the Rev. James Roberts, and Sue and Olen Payton.
