a. Note:   W. A. Lawrence's journal mentions Janet approximately 25 times. Janet Elizabeth Ehrlich, 80, of Hilton Head Island, SC died peacefully at home on November, 11, 2015. Janet was born August 6, 1935 in Rochester, NY to the late Lloyd and Dorothy Lawrence. She was predeceased by her son James Ehrlich. Janet graduated in 1956 from Johns Hopkins University as an RN, and received her BA from Framingham State University in 1991. She worked as a volunteer for 11 years with Volunteers in Medicine. She attended First Presbyterian Church, working with Health Ministry and Family Promise. She was a member of Women in Philanthropy and chaired River Club Social Committee. She moved to Hilton Head Island from Natick, MA in 2000. Janet was a generous, family-centered person, dedicated to the nursing profession, and active in numerous civic and social organizations throughout her life. Janet is survived by her husband of 58 years, Edward Ehrlich, her daughter Susan Ehrlich of Port Townsend, WA, daughter Catherine Ehrlich of Armonk, NY, son Stephen Ehrlich of Ambler, PA, son John Ehrlich of Sandy Springs, GA, daughter Karen Zotos of Dallas, TX and 9 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on November 21, 2015 at First Presbyterian Church on Hilton Head Island. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Volunteers in Medicine, 15 Northridge Dr, Hilton Head Island, SC 29926. The Island Funeral Home and Crematory. theislandfuneralhome.com
