a. Note:   ! Per article in Creston newspaper, grandfather and uncle both died at battle of Bunker Hill during the Revolution. She was of "Mohawk-Dutch" descent. The story of Bunker Hill does not ring true. While it is true that a number of Van Vrankens were prominent in the Revolution, they were from New York. New York had no troops at the Battle of Bunker Hill.
  It was originally thought that Hester could be the daughter of Peter Van Vranken. Per the Historical
 Families of Schnectady; 1905, Peter Van Vranken married Hester Visschen. Terer born 18 July 1773; died 13 Jan 1856. Hester died 7 Sep 1852 in 66th year. Claas was son of Jacob Van Vranken who married Margarita, daughter of Cornelius Pootman on 17 Jul 1758 in Schenectady. Other children of Jacob and Margarita were Cornelius, born 11 Oct 1767 and Claas born 15 Feb 1761. The father of Jacob was Claas Gerritse Van Vranken.
