a. Note:   h typhoid pneumonia. His regiment moved out to a new location 12 miles away and left him in hospital. His regimental commander, Colonel N. Buswell (a relative) heard of his illness and found him in the hospital with his face covered by a wet cloth, evidently left for dead. Col. Buswell revived him and he rallied. His father was notified of his illness and departed Osceola on 5 Jan 1863 reached him several days before he died of "camp fever". After his death his father brought his body back to Osceola for burial. During the trip his father was delerious and sick part of the trip. The trip took more than a week, and when he got home he took to bed and died 12 days later.
Note:   Was a Civil War soldier in Co. H, 93d Regiment, Illinois Volunteers. Took sick in Memphis wit
