a. Note:   According to the Sons of the Utah Pioneers Membership Application submitted by Mark Randall, Edward name was Edward Cuthbertson. Edward arrived with Brigham Young when they first entered the Utah Valley. Edward is shown in the 1850 and 1860 census in Salt Lake, Utah In 1840 Edward and his family are in Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois. By 1847 they have arrived in Winters quarter, Nebraska. By 1850 they are in Great Salt Lake, Utah. Edward is mentioned in several books about the early pioneers of Utah. In 1855 Edward was called to settle Las Vegas, Nevada. Then returned to Salt Lake City in 1856. 1860 Edward is age 41, Living in Great Salt Lake, Utah He is a blacksmith. Also in the house is children: William H. 15, John A. 13, Campbell 11, Susan 8, Joseph age 7. Also in the house is Mary Gibbs age 50 Domestic and Margaret McNeil age 17 The census is taken in July.
