a. Note:   Laura E. Rans was born in Sanford Co., South Dakota on the family farm. Her family later moved to Agar, Sully Co., SD. She met and married William Galligar. They divorced and she married Rufus O. Tucker in Highmore, South Dakota. Rufus and Laura returned to Sully Co., where they lived with William Galligar. Rufus was a hired hand.
 Laura lived her last days at the St. Mary's Hospital in Pierre, South Dakota. She had two wills. One will left money and other items to her husband, Rufus, and to other family members. While in the hospital she changed her will, and left one section of her land to her beloved husband Rufus, and the remaining land was given back to her first husbands, neices and nephews. Laura changed her will, stating that since none of her family members had come to visit her in her last days, than they would be left out of her will.
 Laura was a member of the Okobojo Womens Club and the United Methodist Church.
 Funeral services were held for Laura on Thursday, July 23, at 10:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Onida with the Rev. Mary-Lee Lint officating.
 Visitation was held Wednesday evening at Feigum Funeral Home, Pierre.
 Casket bearers were A. L. Nuttall, Erwin Rans, I. J. Rans, Harold Fiferlick, Steve Rans and Ron Nuttall.
 Letter from Roxie Galligar says that " Aunt Laura and Uncle Bill were always so nice to me, I sure did like them. If you have a photo of Laura, could you please send me a copy?".
