Notes
a. Note:   Harriett Mariom Tanner was born May 3, 1909 in Hastings, Nebraska. Her parents were Leslie W. Tanner and Anna-Mina Cotalena Schultz. Harriett Mariom Tanner married Thomas L. Galligar. Together they had 9 children. Harriet also had 5 children that did not make it to full term. After she married Thomas they moved back to Nebraska to have their first child, Mary Roxie Galligar. After Mary Roxie was born, they moved back to Okobojo, South Dakota, where Lawrence parents and his brother, William lived. Thomas had already homesteaded in Sully County. They began their lives together. After having 7 children, they moved to Idaho. Where they had two more children. After, Harriet and Thomas divorced, Harriet worked many long hours to try and provide for her children. Harriett then married Dick Roberts. They were married from abt 1952- 1956. They were married abt 6 years. They divorced. Harriet married Charlie Crowder in April,1964. They had no children together. They worked their farm and provided for the family the best that they could. Charlie died november 24, 1964, in Ontario, Oregon. Their marriage together was ended shortly after it started. Harriet then married Marvin (Mutt) Tague. They had no children together. They worked their farm. Out on the Oregon slope. They had cows, horses, hogs, rabbits, and other animals. All of Harriett's grandchildren had many hours of fun out at the farm. Horseback riding, feeding the animals, milking the cows. Many family get togethers were held their. Lots of laughter and lots of sad times, but the family remained together. Harriet was feeding the animals one day, when the hay stack fell and pinned her underneath. She was very lucky that she was found and rushed to the hospital. Harriet has always been a survivor. She wasn't going to let that haystack keep her down. Harriet and Marvin divorced after many years of marriage. Harriet moved into town, and Marvin remained at the farm, for awhile longer, than he moved out to little willow, in Payette, Idaho and then later moved to Apple Valley, Parma, Idaho. The old house still remains today. It is barely standing and the sounds of laughter are long gone, but the memories of a wonderful childhood, will forever be in the back of my mind. Harriet loved to remember the past. Many hours were spent sitting on her bed or in the living room, while she spoke of the olden days. Harriett loved to travel. She was always taking one or more of her grandchildren, with her on a trip to see either a family member, who lived far away, or just somewhere to go sightseeing. Harriet also loved to drive fast. As a child, I remember loving to ride with grandma. She always drove as fast as she could, and she made riding with her, a adventure in itself. Obit on file
