Note: N3643 [Isaac Vanarnem.FTW] Served in World War I in the Navy aboard the USS Eagle, a survey ship,in the Caribbean. He was discharged (1917-18) after a diving accidentfrom diving too deep. He reenlisted in the Air Force in 1918, guardingthe War Chest on monument circle, downtown Indpls. First child, EdithLorraine, was born the following spring.
