[Possibly married Mrs. Mary Reynolds in California?]This index contains over 35,000 entries in which vital dates (births, baptisms, and other sacraments, marriages and deaths) of family lineages have been written along with the name of the submitter. This index was created from ten volumes entitled "Bible and Family Records at Western Reserve Historical Society" published between 1967 and 2002.

The task of collecting, copying, indexing, and binding into books these important family records was undertaken originally by the Western Reserve Chapter of the DAR and is now under the leadership of the Genealogical Committee, an auxiliary of the WRHS. Bible record preservation is an ongoing endeavor and people lucky enough to have a family bible are encouraged to have the family pages copied at the WRHS Library (at no cost to them). The information will be included in future printed books and added to this valuable database.

You can search the Bible and Family Records Index by last name or browse by the first few letters of the last name.   Your results will show the volume and page number in which the name can be found in the Bible Records collection. The Call Number for the collection is F34ZF D238 and can be found in the open stacks of the Archives Library's Reading Room. Please note that the full text of the articles is not available online.
