 Hi All,
Just pulled civil war pension application for Isaac Van Norman - served with Co A, 8th Regiment NY Cavalry - enlisted from Hartland, NY
Found marriage record in his file
Isaac Van Norman of Lockport, NY and Matilda Terrell of Lockport, NY married on 6/30/1850 at Lockport, NY by William Wisner
Witnesses - Frances Young and Mariette Tupper
Matilda applied for pension - and lists her children:
 Mary J - born 11/1/1851
 Sarah A. born 7/7/1855
 Isaac A. born 8/29/1860
 Calvin W. born 4/18/1862
What I found interesting was that all these children were born in New York except Sarah who was born at Reusinville, Michigan - according to affidavit of Doctor Benjamin Tayer - County of Lenawee, Michigan.    (POSSIBLY VISITING GRANDPARENTS - Daniel Van Norman??)
Isaac died of Scorbutus at Andersonville Prison, 10/28/1864.
Matilda remarried: Lucas Fox 6/17/1871 in Niagara Co.,New York
