  From Morgan Co GenWeb: VANORMAN, OSCAR, farm hand, Sec. 8, P.O.Chapin, fourth son of Theo. Vanorman, born in Randolph Co., Ind., Jan.24, 1850; removed West with his parents when quite young, and lived in Iowa and Kansas; removed to Morgan Co. January, 1875.
  Poss relative: Ford Orlando Van Orman VA, b 8-22-1883, from WW1Registration, age 35, Topeka Mason IL; nearest relative Goldia E.Hovey Van Orman VA. 9-12-1918 same day as his other two sonsregistered. This child has different coloring: blue eyes, lt hair. Accto Ancestry.com he is son of Orlando Wellington Van Orman VA, bMedina, OH,,,which suggests a PA Van Orman connection.

  VanNorman, J.V. 1807 - 1891 (possibly Theodore? - mak)
 VanNorman, M.M. 2 Oct 1866 - 16 Jan 1892 (s/o F. A. - mak)
 VanNorman, F. A. 27 Mar/May 1835 - 16 June 1911 (s/o Theodore - mak)
  Everything points to this J. V. as being Theodore Van Norman, see short
 obit below:
 Death Notices in Dallas Co. MO (newspaper abstractions)
 "The venerable father of F.A. Van Norman died last Friday and was buried the following day. the old gentleman was 84 years old at the time of his death."(bur, 22 Jan. 1891)

 The earliest I have is Frederick Van Norman b 1781 in Quebec, Canada who m a Mary ? ca 1800.
 They had a son Theodore Van Norman who was b 1807 in VT/OH per the census readings. He married Amanda ? ca 1831. They were in Randolph Co. IN 1850 census and in Morgan Co. IL by 1867 where Amanda died. Theodore then went to Buffalo, Dallas Co. MO where he died 1891 Theodore and Amanda had several children including our ancestor Lamney Cerilda VanNorman who m John Kaylor and settled in Sangamon Co. IL by 1870 census.
