Note: [Brooks.ftw] Uncle Will was just under two years old when his mother and father sold their family farm, their home dwelling and James father's shoe shop to Charles Taylor, Sr. The family packed up their meager belongings and shortly thereafter loaded all their possessions on a ship to Newport News, VA steaming east back down the Rappahannock River. I do remember visiting Uncle Will in Baltimore where he lived on the famous street with homes which had marble front entrance steps. Uncle Will worked for the Lord Baltimore Hotel in Baltimore. This famous landmark was build in 1928 - the year I was born, so my visit was when I was a young lad. Being the Food and Beverage Manager of the Hotel, his basement was stocked with some of the most exotic foods and wines which had to be tasted before serving to hotel guest. When my mom and dad visited Uncle Will, he always sent us home with some pretty nice samples for our pantry too.
