Note: Cal received his medical degree from Queens University in Kingston, Ontario and in 1933 he and his brother Walt founded the Carruthers clinic in Sarnia, Ontario. His wife's name was Dorothy (Dot) and they had 1 son, John, who also became a doctor and lives in Toronto. Cal and his 4 brothers all attended Queens University and became doctors. Because their father was an engineer on the Grand Trunk rr. which went from Sarnia through Kingston and on to other parts of Canada, their mother, Lydia, was able to go to Kingston each week to visit them, did their laundry, etc. After Dot died, Cal married her sister and retired to Flordia.
