a. Note:   NORTH FAMILY CHILDREN What information I have found on the North family children is that it was a little disfunctionaly and very poor. I belive their parents may have died young but I haven't found their death certificates yet.
 Ann North had 2 children out of wedlock before marring Henry Hall the father,
 Jane North had her first daughter out of wedlock and I can't prove that the first daughter Emma was her husbands John's child. Elizabeth North never married and ended up in the Preshute Workhouse at the age of 32 and their brother Benjamin North never married and lived his old years from 1881 -1901 in the Preshute workhouse. All were agricultral labours.

b. Note:   Jane North married John Besant on the 20 January1839 in the Parish church of Preshute. Both are stated as bachelor & spinster.
 John's occupation is stated as labourer and living at Manton. Jane is stated living at St Margaret.
 Janes father is stated as John North (Labouer).
 Witnesses: George Besant and Ann North both signed with an X.
 Were not married by banns
