Note: Joseph has 2 half brothers, John & James Budge. Both were convicted in Isle of Ely (Cambridge) for rape. They were given a Life sentenced and was transported to NSW, Australia aboard the convict transport "Hooghley" arriving in 1828. Both brothers were granted Conditional Pardons: (The convict was free as long as they remained in the conlony). James was granted his in 1845 and John's was granted in 1847.

Note: Rev. L. Holton Inscription of Tombstone in Orange Cemetary In Affectionate Remembrance of Joseph Budge who fell asleep in Jesus June 18th 1887 Aged 69 Years and 9 Months. I was Wretched, By Sin Defiled God all my Baseness Knew But Jesus from His Father came That he might me Renew And Praise me from such Depths of Sin Who had his name Blasphemed: This me Amazed I can't tell why He should my Soul Redeem My Soul Dear Friends His Name both Praise And shall through Endless Days Will you Assist me with My song Tose Hallowed Notes to Raise His Wife Elizabeth died 14th April 1891 aged 77yrs NOT LOST BUT GONE BEFORE

Note: Married by Banns in the Church of All Saints according to the Rites and Ceremonies of the Church of England. Rector: R Haworth Witnesses: Thomas William Green (Father) & Sophia Green (Elizabeth's Sister) Joseph Budge signed his marriage certificate with an X. Joseph's occupation at the time of his marriage was a Laborer and resided in Godmanchester. Elizabeths occupation at the time of her marriage was a servant and she resided at All Saints.
