Note: Bruno died before 1926. He was struck by lightning. He may have died in Italy (per Aunt Susie).
Birth records, marriage records of Vittoria show her last name as Guagliardi. Ship Passenger lists show that the families name was Gagliardi. Death certificate shows Gaulardi (which is incorrect).
Ship Passenger List (T715, Roll 1189, Frame 241-Morse) Jan 19, 1909 shows the arrival of Bruno Gagliardi, age 40 male, married, laborer, illiterate, from Cortale, Catanzaro, Calabria, Italy (South) leaving wife Caterina Pulli headed for New York, NY. Came to US Prior in 1902 & 1908 to Nazareth, PA. Going to Nazareth, PA now to Brother-in-law, Francesco Pulli. He is 5'4" tall with Chestnut hair. Place of Birth. Cortale, Catanzaro, Calabria, Italy.
Federal Census Records from Plainsfield Township, Northampton, PA in 1910 (ED 112, Supv Dist 7, Sheet no. 9, T624, Roll 1382, Page 163) indicate that Bruno & Caterina Pulli were married for 18 years. First marriage for her. Second Marriage for him. At this time he is 61 years old. He immigrated in 1900, is an alien, a laborer in a slate quarry. His wife, listed as Katie, is shown as age 45. She immigrated in 1904. Daughter, Katie, age 8, born in Italy, also immigrated in 1904. Teresa, age 4, was born in Pennsylvania. Victoria, age 2, was also born in PA. Also residing in the household is Guy (Gaetano) Maiale, age 40, married, immigrated in 1906, Alien, a boarder.
On the same page, directly above these entries is another family. Head of Household-Frank Pulli age 42, married 20 years, one marriage, immigrated in 1904, alien, laborer in a slate quarry. His wife Annie is 38, married once, born Italy, immigrated 1907 with sons Anton age 18, Frank age 15, Nick age 6 all born in Italy. Sons Wister (may be Wesley or Victor) is 2, born in PA, son John is 8 months old, also born PA. In the 1920 Census Frank Pulli and his family are still residing there. Frank Jr age 23 married in 1919 to Susanna,age 20, who immigrated from Austria in 1908. Sons Nicholas 16, Wister 12, Galvin (John) 9, and daughters Clara 8 and Anna 6. (Roll T625-1609, 17A, 117 Image 1101, ED 117 Sheet 17A).
NY State Census 1915 shows Bruno Guagliardi (age 56) & his family residing at 265 East 153rd St, Bronx, NY. It says he has been in the US for 15 years is an alien and is working as a Subway Laborer. Wife Katherine is age 43, has been in US for 10 years, is an alien and a housewife. Daughter Katherine is age 17, an alien residing in US for 10 years and is an embroiderer. Tessie age 9 is a Citizen & is in School. Vittoria is age 7 is a citizen is at home. Elizabeth is 180 days old, is a citizen at home. There are 3 boarders residing in the household. Gaetano Maiale, age 39, born Italy, alien residing in US for 10 years, Railroad Laborer. Tony Gigante age 20 born Italy residing in US 4 years, alien, Railroad Laborer. Pasquala Bisilo age 22 born Italy residing in US 3 years, alien, Railroad Laborer.
In 1920 Federal Census Gaetano Maiale age 44 is listed as Head of Household at 265 E 153rd Street, Bronx, NY. Catherina Pulli age 48 is residing in same apartment with her daughters Tessie age 14 , Vittoria age 12 and Elizabeth age 5 yrs 11 mos on 20 Jan 1920. The girls last name is missing - does not indicate a name making the assumption that the daughters have the same name as their mother. Actually the mother's name is incorrect as it shows her maiden name Pulli in lieu of her married name Guagliardi.
Also in 1920 Census, we find that Daughter Katherine age 19 has now married Anthony Massiano (Messiano) age 23, alien, B Italy. He is either a paper boy or a Paper Box ??? They have a son Frank, age unreadable, born New York.
In the 1930 Federal Census, the 2 sons of Anthony Massiano and Katherine Guagliardi, Frank age 11 and Nicolo age 9 are found living as inmates at the New York Catholic Protectory in Bronx, NY. Katherine cannot be found. Anthony Massiano cannot be found either. Rumor has it that he was in prison. Katherine and Anthony divorced. Katherine remarried to Joseph Pepe of Wilmington, DE. They had daughter Catherine who married a DiRocco, Thomas F Pepe, Anthony Pepe, John Pepe, Philomena who married Joseph J Ernest, Michael Pepe who married Doris, Joseph Pepe who married Josephine, Bruno Pepe, Ralph Pepe, and Elizabeth Pepe who married Jacob Getty.

Bruno & Caterina were both born in Cortale. Caterina Gagliardi was the second child born to Bruno & Caterina in Caraffa, Italy. The first child was also Caterina but she died.
Francesco Pulli & Antonia Anna Maria were also married in Caraffa. Francesco was born in Cortale. Antonia was born in Caraffa.
