Note: Cannot find a Bruno Gagliardi born in 1838 in Cortale. The only Bruno born in that year is Bruno Santo Marinaro born in April. This could be an error. The record for this child states the father is Rocco Marinaro who is age 17 and the mother is Maria Todaro who is 32. Also on Raffaele's birth certificate his mother is listed as Maria Todaro and on his death record her name is listed as Maria Marinaro. It is possible that Giuseppe Gagliardi (1808) either died or disappeared and that Maria Todaro remarried to Rocco Marinaro. However I cannot find a death record for Giuseppe or a marriage record for Rocco and Maria. Maybe she did not marry Rocco Marinaro but lived out her years with him. Perhaps Giuseppe immigrated to the US and abandoned his family. Just a thought.
