Note: Charles was born on a farm that belonged to James Creighton in Taylor Township, Greene County, Indiana.
When his father John Street married the second time he moved to Bloomfield, Indiana, in 1880. He lived most of his life in Bloomfield. he was a farm labor. he worked for farmers near Arcola, Illinois. In 1910 he was employed by the Pacific Ex. Co., Chicago, Illinois. He remained an employee of the Railway Ex. Co. until 1921, when he had to retire on account of ill health. He was poor but honorable.
