 Enrolled on the 30th day of August 1861 and was discharged on the 7th or 8th of February 1865 at Indianapolis, Indiana. His company was commanded by Capt. Burge. He lost his left leg above the knee and is receiving a pension by Certificate Number 68,388 for $24.00 per month, He was disable by heart disease January 1965 and was at the hospital in Evansville, Indiana.
 Since leaving the service he has resided in Martin County, Indiana until about 1868, one year at Long Lake, Madison County, Illinois, then in Appanoose County, Iowa, then moved to Bethlehem, Wayne County, Iowa. His physical description is: height - 5 feet and about 9 inches; complexion - light; hair - medium; eyes - blue.
