a. Note:   Catherine A. Kerwood was one of 10 children. She came to Nebraska with her parents in a covered wagon at age 20. (1886) After a short stay in York County, she lived in Lincoln, where she met William Cormican. They were married in North Platte in 1889. Earl was born there. In 1890 they moved to Des Moines, Iowa where Minnie, Frances, and Leslie were born. In 1904 the family returned and settled permanently in York. Catherine lived in a small house at 100 Grant Ave from 1920 (or earlier) until her death in 1959.
 According to her obituary, Catherine had 11 grandchildren: Earl had no children; Minnie had Genevieve, Roland, and Jessie; Frances had Little Frances, Bill and Betty Anne; Leslie had Lorraine, Mickey, Lyn, and Dorothy Lee. Minnie must have had one more I don't know about.
