Note: Buriel notice in the "Sussex Independent" (NJ) dated Friday, October 25, 1907. "From our Branchville Correspondent. Robert Adams, Sr., one of our oldest residents, died Saturday morning, quite suddenly, aged about eighty years. He was a large property owner and wealthy man, quiet and unassumming, kind and liberal in his views and of strict integrity. His wife died several years ago. His daughters, Mrs. Emma Dennis (or Dentis) and Miss Elizabeth, kept the home for their aged father. He is also survived by four other children; Anna, wife of George Smith, of Sandyston; James F., Gabriel H., and George, at home, and Robert, Jr. Funeral was held Wednesday at the home at 2 o"clock.
