Note: elton, Chester Co., PA. He was a self-employed builder and was owner-operator of Master Builders, Kelton, in 1990 and 1991. He was a member of New Creation Chapel Church in Sunbury, PA.
David died in the Youth Challenge Bible Institute-Outreach for Men at Sunbury in Northumberland, PA. The County Coronor reported that his death was under investigation. He was buried in Highland Memorial Park cemetery by the Trexler Funeral Home of Allentown.

David G. Meckes Sr., 33, of Kelton, Chester County, died Tuesday in the Youth Challenge Bible Institute-Outreach for Men, Sunbury. Northumberland County Coroner Richard Ulrich said the death is under investigation.
Meckes was the husband of Beth A. (Petras) Meckes. They were married 10 years in April.
A self-employed builder, he was owner-operator of Master Builders, Kelton, for the past two years.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of Evelyn J. (Mickley) Hemerly of Allentown and the late Paul G. Meckes.
He was a member of New Creation Chapel Church, Sunbury.
Survivors: Wife and mother; sons, David G. Jr., Joshua S. and Daniel P., all at home; brothers, Robert P. of Antioch, Calif., and John K. and Mark A., both of Allentown; sisters, Doretta L. Lancon of Whitehall Township, and Ruth A., wife of David Koppenhaver of Allentown; paternal grandmother, Erma (Hilberg) Meckes of Kutztown, and a stepbrother, Randy K. Hemerly of Morristown, Northampton County.
