B-06:Edward "Eddie" Meckes, 55, of Kunkletown, died Saturday, April 14, in Palmerton Hospital. He was the husband of Betty (Smith) Meckes for 37 years. He was a heavy equipment operator for Frantz Brothers, Northampton, for the past three years and previously for Eastern Industries, Kunkletown, for 25 years. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 773. Born in McMichaels, Monroe County, he was a son of the late Louis and Lucy (Bellis) Meckes. Survivors: Wife; sons, Troy of Kunkletown, Michael of Kresgeville; daughters, Lisa Mendsen of Effort, Susan Bonser of Kunkletown; brother, Louis Jr. of Stroudsburg R.4; sister, Pamela Magrosky of Saylorsburg; seven grandchildren.
