  In 1991 Edward Lee Meckes was living at RD #3, PO Box 15, Kunkletown, PA.,18058.
  "Morning Call", Allentown, PA, 16 April 2001, pg. B-06: Edward "Eddie" Meckes, 55, of Kunkletown, died Saturday, April 14, in Palmerton Hospital. He was the husband of Betty (Smith) Meckes for 37 years.
  He was a heavy equipment operator for Frantz Brothers, Northampton, for the past three years and previously for Eastern Industries, Kunkletown, for 25 years. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 773.
  Born in McMichaels, Monroe County, he was a son of the late Louis and Lucy (Bellis) Meckes.
  Survivors: Wife; sons, Troy of Kunkletown, Michael of Kresgeville; daughters, Lisa Mendsen of Effort, Susan Bonser of Kunkletown; brother, Louis Jr. of Stroudsburg R.4; sister, Pamela Magrosky of Saylorsburg; seven grandchildren.
  Graveside service: 11 a.m. Tuesday, St. Matthew's Cemetery, Kunkletown. Arrangements, Donald N. Gower Funeral Home, Gilbert. Contributions: West End Ambulance Corps, Effort.
