Darryl R. Meckes
Darryl R. Meckes, 64, of Tuscarora passed away suddenly Friday afternoon at St. Lukes Miners Hospital, Coaldale.
Darryl was born in Allentown on March 13, 1948. He was the son of Gladys D. (Remaly) Hill and the late Warren
Meckes.
He was of the Protestant faith. Before retiring he was a self-employed roofer and carpenter for many years in the local area. Darryl served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death
by brother, Keith Meckes.
Survivors: Darryl is survived by mother, Gladys Hill; and stepfather, Herman Hill, Tuscarora; brother, Ronald Meckes husband of Irene, Kempton, brother, Larry Meckes husband of Linda, New Ringgold; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Services: A graveside memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, September 8 at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown PA with Rev. Michael A. Frost officiating. Internment will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 1740 Airport Rd., Allentown PA 18109. Shawn E. Clark Funeral Home, 200 E. Bertsch St., Lansford PA has been entrusted with the arrangements.
