  According to A Standard History of Georgia and Georgians by Lucian Lamar Knight as found on Google Book Search. She was daughter of John Davidson and Nancy Brevard who were murdered by the Indians on the Catawba River, near what is now known as Old Fort, in McDowell County, North Carolina. Nancy’s brother was Dr. Ephraim Brevard, who was one of the secretaries of the Mecklenburg Convention of 1775.
