CLIFFORD ELMAR JENNINGS
TALLADEGA - Funeral services for Clifford Elmar Jennings, 90, will be Saturday, Jan. 7, at 11 a.m. at Bemiston Baptist Church with the Rev. George Bishop and the Rev. John Whetstone officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Jennings died Wednesday, Jan. 4, at Russell Hospital in Alex City. He was a native of Tallapoosa County and had lived in Talladega since 1941. He was a lifelong deacon and member of Bemiston Baptist Church. He was retired from the Bemiston Bag Company. He had lived the past two years in Alexander City. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Leola N. Jennings of Talladega; sons and daughters-in-law, Clifford A. and Sandra Jennings of Leesburg, Va., and Larry W. and Karen Jennings of Alexander City; five grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 6, from 5-8 p.m. at Usrey.
Pallbearers will be Gary Jennings, Steven Jennings, Ron Carroll, Brandt See, Toby Ledbetter, and John Burke. Honorary pallbearers will be Lofton Smith, John Burke Jr., Jimmy Taylor, J.W. Baker, the William Carpenter Men's Sunday School Class and deacons of Bemiston Baptist Church. Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega will direct the services.
