a. Note:   The Spring of 1839 Elizabeth died of blood poisoning. She had milked one cold morning and when she came into the house she put her hands ina dishpan of warm water. A butcher knife was still in the side water and it cut one of her hands which caused the blood poisoning that resulted in her death.
