  Mrs. Alice Noel Cooper
  Alice Noel Cooper was born April 17, 1860 in Woodson county, Kans. She was the daughter of Caleb and Isibell Noell. She was united in marriage to John Cooper of Burlington, and to this union were born four children, L. T. (sic S. T.) Cooper of Denver, Colo., John Cooper of Centerton, Ark., Pearl Cooper who preceded her in death and Harry Cooper of Waverly. Six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. May Shirley also survive her. Her parents were early settlers in this state and her entire life was spent in Kansas. Services were held at the McVey Jones chapel in Waverly and burial was in the Cottonwood Falls cemetery with Rev. A. M. Dixon officiating. [then just singers, accompanist, and pall bearers listed.]

  Mrs. Alice Cooper died about 5 o;clock Tuesday evening, June 1, 1943 at the home of her son Harry Cooper two miles east of Waverly [Coffey Co., KS]. Mrs. Cooper, was was 83 years old, made her home with her son and family. She had been in poor health for several years. No arrangements for the funeral services have been announced except that burial will be at Cottonwood Falls, her old home.
