  Daniel, Isham J. - Private May 12, 1862. Pension records show he contracted measles at Chattanooga, Tenn. In the spring of 1862; disease settled in arms and legs, causing him to be permanently crippled. Surrendered at Greensboro, N.C. April 26, 1865. (Born in Ga. Mar. 14, 1835)

  The Franklin News says that on Tuesday, the 17th inst., Mr. C.W. Furlow, while
 feeding Mr. Isham Daniel's gin, attempting to remove the motes, got his right
 hand caught and terribly lacerated.

  HEARD County News
  A fire on Mr. Isham Daniel's place on New River on the night of Tuesday the
 11th, destroyed six houses, including a barn, stables and crib and about one
 hundred bushels of corn and 13,000 pounds of fodder and hay. Mr. Henry
 Spearman, the tenant of the place, has a heavy loss.
