Freeman, Eli Freeman, E.J. Freeman, H.C. Freeman, J.W. Prestridge" * The 1860 Census of Randolph County listed William T. Davis, age 25 with wife Frances E., age 20. The 1870 census of Burson's Beat of Randolph County listed a Frances Davis, age 28, but there was no husband listed. Was this the same Frances who married William T. Davis? That an 1888 deed on which Elena Davis sells to Noah Davis, and that deed is signed by her daughter, Nancy Sheets, along with four of Chesley and Elena's children settles in my mind that she is William's widow. - Thomas Freeman
