  Found a partial 1850 Cobb Co., Ga census on rootsweb listing John W. Kemp age 44 b. SC with wife Vianne born in SC. They have a daughter named Martha E. Kemp b. 1849 in Ga.
  Martha E. Kemp married David A. Ellison who were my ggrandparents. Their dau, Lizzie G. Ellison is my grandmother. The name Ellison is misspelled as Elison in the 1880 Paulding Co., Ga census.
  This is the first time I have found anything about the Kemp family. Any information you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

  Cobb Co is neighbored to the southwest by Paulding Co and the northwest by Bartow Co. I would also theorize that Linney's maiden name is Kemp, not Camp as listed on daughter Mary's death certificate, based on the families on either side of her and Jesse in the 1850 Census and that she was born in SC, just as they were. I would guess she most like the daughter of John H. Kemp.
