Continued: Note on Find-a-Grave: Edward W. McCarty was born February 16, 1899 to Lloyd McCarty and Ida Hickenbottom McCarty. He was born in Fairfield, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his son, Lawrence LaVerne McCarty. He had 5 children (Roberta McCarty, Rosie McCarty, Rena McCarty Lynch, Norma McCarty Huffman and Lawrence LaVerne McCarty) and 2 adopted children (Eloise Grandy and Kenneth Grandy McCarty). His first wife was Jennie Mae Streeby McCarty whom he married November 23, 1923, and second wife May McCarty. He had many grandchildren and great grandchildren some of whom he never got to meet. He will be loved and missed by many.
