The white plague claimed another victim Friday morning when Mrs Amanda Keefe passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs Perry Swisher, 6 miles northeast of this city on the Ludlow Road. Her death was not unexpected as the seriousness of her condition has long been known to her immediate friends. It wa sonly her indomnitable will that has kept her alive for the past few months. Mrs Keefe formerly lived just north of the Illinois Car Companys plant in this city and 2 years ago she gave up housekeeping and went to the home of her daughter to live. The country life and her will power seemed to give her new strength and courage and she stayed off the dread conqueron much longer than those who knew her condition thought she would be able to do. Mrs Keefe had been a resident of this city for almost a third of a century and her death brings a sorrowing thought to the heart of every one who knew her. She is survived by her husband and the daughter at whose home she died.
