 John Mattson Age 42 Married 16 years owned home, no mortgage.
 Their home was 23 South 11th St. Cloquet. Hendrika Age 39 Gave birth to 9 children, 5 living.
 Her maiden name was Kylma. Herman " 16 Son
 Silia " 10 Daughter (My Mother Celia Amanda)
 Lydia " 7 "
 Henry " 4 Son
 Lempi " 3 Daughter (My Aunt Myrtle)
 Alex " 24 Brother of John
  Also 13 boarders living in their home
  Boarders included:

  1900 Census states that John Mattson came to USA in 1892 and Hendrika
 Kylma in 1893.
  1910 Census states John came to USA in 1888 ? The Himanka parishrecords state that he went to America in 1890??
  Court records of the 11th Judical District, County of Carlton statethat John Mattson was Sworn in as a US citizen in Aug 1900.

 He died, in Sep or Oct 1911, cause of death believed to be pneumonia.
  We have a copy of a public notice in the Cloquet Pine Knot Newspaperof a foreclosure notice on the home of John and Henrika Mattson. TheMortgage dated 15 Sep 1909 was now in default for $494.10 as of 22 Sep1911 Now of course in 1911, $494.10 was a lot of money. The propertywas to be auctioned on 11 Nov 1911 at 10am.
b. Note:   date is taken from a Probate Record dated 14 May 1913 regardingplacing of minor children into foster homes.
