He was over all the mills and my Murphy line (George W., then Oliver G.) was over the Shawmut Mill. My Uncle George Callaway Zachry, son of George Huguley Zachry (who married Sarah Pope Callaway), is some relationship to your husband but I don't remember right off what the connection is. I know his tree is full of both Laniers, Huguleys and Callaways. His wife Valma Kemp Zachry (Who is coming here to NC to visit in a few days) was one of the kids who grew up in the Harrell House. He was born in the Zachry House across the street from Ft. Tyler and if memory serves me correct the opposite corner is the George Huguley Lanier house, thought I would not swear to that. Seems that's what he told me when he took me out to Fort Tyler a couple of years ago. Uncle George and my cousin, the late Elizabeth Zachry McKinney wrote many of the articles in the Chambers County Heritage Book, including I believe some of the Lanier and Huguley items. I don't get back to Valley often, but when I am going back again I'll let you know in case there is something I can do there for you.
