  Ellis Homer Nixon - Funeral services fro Ellis Homer Nixon, 724 Jackson, who died Wednesday, were to be conducted at 4 p. m. today in Pulaski Heights Presbyterian Church, by the Rev. S. F. Bryant.
  Pallbearers are: Active - E. H. Taylor, Texarkana; James M. Ray, Scott; Carl Reberds, Shreveport, La., and Walter Pyburn, C. J. Frick amd Walter Talbert, Little Rock; honorary -- Elders and deacons of Pulaski Heights Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park by P. H. Ruebel & Co.
  Mr. Nixon was a veteran of World War I and had been Little manager of B. F. Avery & Sons Machinery Co. for a number of years.

  Now that the big task is over I found time to do some calling about Homer.
  Ellis Homer Nixon age 51, born at Haralson, GA 10-4-1893, died of accute
 bronchial pneumonia caused by carcinoma (sounds like lung cancer) on 10-25
 44 and was buried at 4:00 p.m. at Roselawn Memorial Park on Asher Avenue in
 Little Rock on 10-27-44 in the Ravenna Section, Lot 180, center grave.
 Mary Hannah was listed as his survivor but she is not buried there.
 She is a lot owner but not buried there.
  Ellis Homer was a manager for the B.S. Avery Company in Little Rock.
  S.S. Bryant of Pulaski Heights Presbyterian church did the funeral.
  I guess Mary Hannah is who we have been calling Mary Helen. At least that is how the cemetery has her listed.
