Notes
a. Note:   In 1853, George and Amos Huguley purchased 1,920 acres of land from Milton M. Marcus for $17,000. In 1865, they purchased an additional 143 acres from James Campbell for $2,430, which included three islands in the Chattahoochee River. Part of this land was in GA and is the site where the Riverdale mill was built in River View.

The George Huguley-Parnell House was built about 1840-45. The lands on which it was built were an original grant of 320 acres by the United States under the Creek Indian Treaty of 1832, to Par-lar-che-hadjo, a Creek Indian, who sold it to Richard B. Coleman in 1834. George Huguley, a Chambers County pioneer settler, bought the property shortly afterwards, and best indications are that he built the house.
The Huguley family were members of the old Bethlehem Baptist Church in the 1840s. Mr. Huguley was still living in the house when his (grand)daughter, Eppie Huguley Zachry (Mrs. J. T.) was born February 12, 1865. She died February 11, 1940 in West Point, Ga.
George Huguley sold his house and lands to John H. Parnell in 1867.

Gabriella was George's second wife. He was married first to her Aunt, Polly

Sally White. She survived him and later married a Col. Robert B. Kyle from Gasden, Alabama.

Thanks very much. It looks like there is a dau born 1831-1835 doesn't it? Which makes sense--6 years between Henderson & Mary. Or I guess she could be a child of whoever the 20-30 year old man is in the hh.
