He was also President of "West Point Mfg. Co." * per "This Was Our Valley -- Photo-Gravures of 1901," Chatahoochee Valley Historical Society, Publication No. 11 c. 1973; Litho-Krome Company, Columbus, GA, pg. 45: E. F. Lanier: The handsome house, with tower, balcony, and upper porch, at 1102 2nd Ave., (West Point) was built for Elijah Frank and Susan Elizabeth Cherry Lanier about 1875-80. It partially burned in the 1920's and was rebuilt as a one story house. Horace Lanier, Mr. Lanier's son, made his home here. Gene Davis owned the house for some years and it is now (1973) in apartments owned by James R.
