a. Note:   therine on the 1860 census of St. Louis, MO. He is not found in the 1870 or 1880 censuses. This is undoubtedly the same George Landfried who served as a Sergeant in Company G (Francis Wilhelmi's company) in the 17th MO and was mentioned in letter of Francis Wilhelmi as “George Landfried, brother of my brother Julius' wife, who died too early.” - 25th February 1862. [Note: Francis must mean his brother Julius' wife died too early, not George Landfried.] See following Descriptive Roll for Company G.
