Note: e is listed as Richard Jr. or Richard Frederic. Richard was an electrical and mechanical engineer. He received a degree from the University of Missouri in 1909. In 1910, Rich was listed as a mechanical engineer living with his parents. By 1912 he has moved to Dallas, Texas, where he was listed in the 1912 Dallas City Directory as a Mechanical Engineer. Rich moved to Dallas to go to work as an engineer for Anheuser Busch when the Adolphus Hotel was built. On 9 Nov. 1918 Richard F. Jr. resided at 3411 Knight, Dallas. In 1920 they are listed on Potomac Ave. in Dallas; Richard was a civil engineer, general practice. By 1930, they resided at 3852 Mockingbird Lane in Highland Park; Richard was a consulting engineer, construction. About 1931-32 Ottilie moved back to St. Louis with her daughter. Dick finished his last year of school in Texas, then went to college in Missouri. Rich continued to reside at the home on Mockingbird Lane, where he is listed on the 1840 census, living alone, Consulting Chemical Engineer, Private Practice. In 1940, Ottilie and Richard were living with her mother Emilie Wilhelmi at 7369 Pershing Avenue, Universtiry City, Missouri. Rich's 1942 draft registration card gives the Mockingbird Lane address. According to this card, Rich was 5' 10" tall and weighed 155 lbs., had gray hair, blue eyes, and a light complexion. Both Richard and Ottilie were cremated and their ashes were interred at Valhalla, St. Louis.
