Feb 28, 1927. : Arseine Decoteau - 19 Great Grandchildren, 49 Grandchildren, 6 children age 76 Arseine Decoteau died Sunday morning at 7:45 at the home of his daughter, Mrs Joseph Lafrenier, - on the East Barre Road, where he had been living this past winter. For several months he had not been feeling as well as usual, but had been confined to his bed only a week, the cause being a greneral breaking down. Mr Decoteau was born in Canada 76 years ago and previous to coming to Barre had lived in the states in St Johnsbury, and Claremont,NH. Six years ago Mrs Decoteau died. For three years he lived with another daughter on the East Barre Road, Mrs Eugene Beaulieu. Besides the two daughters previously mentioned, there survive Mrs Charles Beaulieu of this city, and Mrs Joseph Bacon of West Warwick, R.I.; two sons, Eugene and William Decoteau of Claremont,NH; a brother, Joseph Decoteau of Ware,MA, 49 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held on Tuesday at 1 o'clock in the afternoon at St Monica's Church, after which the body will be placed in the vault at Wilson cemetery and in the spring interment will be made in the family lot in the cemetery at St Johnsbury. - - - -
