Yamaska parish christening records.
Birth: Onesime was 30 in the 1861 Canadian census for Durham, Drummond
Co., Quebec. (G.S. film 517,374, Enumeration District #3, Township of
Durham, #6, line 46.)
Burial: Cemetery records of Allamakee County, Paint Rock Cemetery (now called
St. Joseph). There is no tombstone for Onesime, but the tombstone of his wife
is very old and covered with moss and his name might be on the bottom part of
it.
God Parents: Joseph Proux and Anastasie Rogette (wife of Alexis Martel).
Onsime came to Vermont just before the Civil War with his brothers Moses and Antoine. He returned to Quebec, while his brothers Antoine and Moses remained in Vermont.
