 obit from the Boston Globe and Lowell Sun newspapers:
  CHELMSFORD - George C. Hedrick, 85, of Chelmsford, a volunteer pastoral visitor at Lowell General Hospital, died Feb. 13.
 He was born in Lowell and graduated from Lowell High School in 1935. He moved to Chelmsford in 1950. During World War II, he served in the Army in Europe. He attained the rank of first lieutenant and was awarded a Bronze Star.
 He was the manager of Alpine Lanes in Chelmsford for 25 years, retiring in 1985. He also worked at Bon Marche in Lowell. After retiring, he worked part time for Far Horizon Travel Agency in Chelmsford.
  Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Gerald Crow of Chelmsford, a son and daughter-in-law, Brock and Carole Hedrick of Chelmsford, a sister, Helen Whiting of Lowell, six grandchildren, Sheri, Kathi, Chrissi, David, Kristi, and Kerry. A Great granddaughter, Brianna Eileen, two step-children, Daniel and David Funaro, a sister in law, Mary Roberts of Hampton Beach, and many neices and nephews.
 He was also the brother of the late Marsden Hedrick and Lillian Von Sabo.
