page 16: "Anderville, a Christian Elder, owned 365 acres in both Mercer
and Harrison Counties of Missouri. He is said to have been a well known
and highly respected citizen who was conservative in politics. He and his
wife were reported to have been among the men and women who
converted the wilderness of early Missouri into an organized state."
(History of Harrison and Mercer Counties, Missouri (1888)). They had 17
children. According to son Leander (8th child), "his brothers and sisters
were excellent singers. One sang, shortly after childbirth, "I'm Going
Home Tomorrow" and died the next day."(!) He also said that "their log
house was 50' with a fireplace in either end." Roger's "History of Mercer
County," 1911, reported that Anderville was a "pioneer" Justice of the
 Peace of that county.
Only 13 children are listed; others may have died young.
