Notes
a. Note:   According to at least one Frailey descendant, Dennis J., of Dallas, Texas, the original Leonard Frailey/Froelich, emigrated from Saltzberg, in about 1750. Another descendant, Kathleen Frailey Puls, states that there were several Leonard Fraileys. She is descended from a Swiss Leonard Frailey. Records show Leonard Frailey marrying Elizabeth in Baltimore, not New Jersey, as some stories would have it.
There is a connection between the Felty and Frailey families, in the person of Ann Frailey Felty. She was the daughter of Leinhard Frohlich, of Switzerland, and Catherine Brandley, of Germantown, Philadelphia, Pa. Ann Frailey married Henry Felty and died in 1840.. Ann Frailey Felty, of Philadelphia, was the mother of Catherine Felty, who married Peter Stitcher. Ann died in Buckeystown, while visiting her daughter.
According to U.S. Army Historical Register, 1789-1903, Vol. 1, Leonard Frailey was a Major and served from 19 May, 1813 to 1 May, 1814. While in the 38th Infantry, he fought at the Battle of Northpoint, Baltimore. Records indicate he died 23 July, 1864. John Stitcher was also a member of the 38th Regiment, serving as a 1st Lt., in July, 1814.
