Note: Margaret Ann Magill was the daughter of Charles Magill, born ca. 1790, and Rebecca Jarboe Stone, whom he married on June 13, 1807. A Last Will for Rebecca, owner of "Spring Hill", in St. Mary's County, dated January 19, 1843, lists the following children: John W. Magill, Mary Ann Caroline Cissell, Susan U. Magill, William H. Stone, Matthew Magill, Joseph A. Magill, Margaret Ann Magill and Mary Magill. Funds were left to Susan to pay the Reverend Joseph Carberry (a legendary Jesuit priest) for a funeral Mass at St. John's. George Combs registered Rebecca's Will in SMC. She was illiterate and signed her Will with an "X" mark. Witnesses were John F. Magill, Ann Bruntzell and Ignatius C. Magill, dated June 24, 1843. Margaret Ann Magill married Charles Macready, first, then George Samuel Macready. The Macreadys were possible cousins. Charles was from St. Mary's County and George was from Somerset county.
