a. Note:   When Christopher Gray moved his family to Adrian, Mi. to work as a blacksmith, his brother Edward stayed on the Hudson farm. It is not known how long he stayed there, but his family eventually moved toToledo, Ohio. According to the 'Hudson Post", Mrs. Edward Gray died at her home in Toledo, on Monday, February 3, 1913, and left eight children. Edward Jr. lived on the family farm in Hudson Twp. Mrs. James Campbell, of Hudson, was a sister of the deceased. Also from the "Hudson Post", Edward Gray died January 2, 1912. He had moved from Hudson to Toledo. He was 79 years old, a native of Ireland, and arrived in the U.S. in 1849. His sons were: William Phillip, Hubert Matthew, John Christopher, Edward Michael. Daughters were: Miss Nellie Gray, Anna, Mrs. William Pettinger, Catherine, Mrs. Richard Marry, Mary Elizabeth, Mrs.Thomas Farmer, all of Toledo. Another daughter, Julia Gray, married Charles Roney, on April 30, 1902. She was born in 1872, and died March 27, 1904. She left one daughter, Josephine Roney.
