Note: On a passenger list of the "John R. Skiddy", out of Liverpool for New York, was found Ann and Mary Gray. The date, November 4, 1846, would have put Ann at age 11, too young to be a domestic servant. Mary, however, could have been the older of the two (sisters?). The other servant in the Giles household, Francis Consha, was probably from the established Consha family of Warrenville, N.J. (near North Plainfield). It appears that Ann married the son of Samuel Giles and his second wife, Susan. His grandaughter, by his son, Nelson M., was Clarice, and she married Ann Gray's brother, Christopher.
