Vanlandingham on 20 January 1865. John H. Vanlandingham is listed in the 1860 census of Boone Co., Missouri, page 399, Rocheport Post Office, line 14, HH 401/444. In the 1870 census of Boone Co., Missouri John Vanlandingham is listed on page 125-2, line 9, HH 36/52. John is age 44, Elizabeth, his second wife, is 28. Eight children are listed in the census.
